Update: The Missive Book Club Discussion
A new date to discuss "The End of the World is Just the Beginning"
As we approach the end of the month, I wanted to share the Zoom details of our next live discussion for the January pick: The End of the World is Just the Beginning.
Book club recommendations remain free to all subscribers, but if you’d like to get the full experience please consider upgrading to a paid account to join our live monthly Zoom calls and help keep The Missive running smoothly.
Until now, I have been holding these live discussions on the last week of the month, but I realize that doesn’t give everyone enough time to finish the book. So from here on, I’ll host the discussions on the second Thursday of the month. That gives you 5 weeks to read each book.
That means the January discussion will be held on Thursday February 9th at 3PM LAX // 6PM NYC so you have an extra week to finish the book if you haven’t already. Zoom details for The End of the World is Just Beginning will be sent to paid subscribers the week of the book club discussion.
Remember - you don’t have to have finished the book to join us. This month’s pick is about current affairs and the future, so the discussion will be open to anyone interested in learning more about where our world is going.
This month’s read is a real eye-opener. Ever since picking up this book, I’ve been seeing its themes throughout the headlines of the news. Here is one such example about China’s coming population bust. Feel free to add other articles to the comment section below.
I’ll announce the February book club pick on Thursday February 2nd. Paid subscribers can get a sneak preview of what we’re reading next by joining our paid-subscriber only chat on the Substack app.
Happy reading!
