Given that I already feel swamped with content but am very curious about the intersection of AI and art and, well, everything. So I appreciate these insightful looks at what's already happening and what's going on.
As a former novelist, and now travel writer, I was struck by how phone cameras have given me the ability to take the sort of pictures I never could have before. Of course, many many people have those phones now and can take similar pictures. But no one can take my travel experiences, my sensibilities, and what I write about them to create our content. (At least AI can't do that just yet.) So I am definitely benefiting from phone camera technology though I do know it has hurt traditional photographers.
As you both note, change has costs and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Good stuff for an old aging establishment guy to discover. Thanks
😉
Met Taryn while living in Venice, was cool to see her pop up here!
Saw this from Tim Denning this AM. He’s the most read writer on Medium. I liked your article better but thought it was an interesting connection to make between shit stock photo sites and AI art as the alternative https://medium.com/swlh/unsplash-is-officially-dead-here-are-the-smarter-alternatives-593b52c24656
Nice art, so creative, wising her much success!
